Be sure to have your camera and spare film to hand for the whole party. Children are so unpredictable, you just never know when that perfect picture will occur. Better still get a friend to do it for you.
Videoing has become more popular as the cost of this amazing equipment has reduced, many family now owning their own cameras. For a birthday party, make sure that the batteries are fully charged in advance. Trying to film with a mains lead attached to your camera and excited children dancing around is a recipe for an accident.
If you have engaged
an entertainer to perform at your party, be sure to get their permission
to film. The fee they request does not give you the automatic right
to film their act. However, most are very reasonable and will usually
have no objection to short portions of their performance being filmed,
if asked in advance.
